Joe Kohl has been a cartoonist/illustrator since 1972. His work has appeared worldwide on books, greeting cards, book covers, advertisements, billboards, POP (Point Of Purchase) displays, magazines, tee shirts and mugs.  Joe's work has been published in most major national magazines and periodicals which print cartoons and/or humorous illustrations including Reader's Digest, National Enquirer, Saturday Evening Post, New Woman, Christianity Today, Good Housekeeping, Complete Woman, The Rotarian, Forbes, Writer's Digest, The Artist's Magazine, Marriage Partnership, The Wittenburg Door, Woman's Own, Saturday Review, Penthouse, First for Women, Woman's World, Punch, Medical Economics, True, Swank, Personnel Journal, The Madison Avenue Handbook, Genesis, Woman, VFW Magazine, Funny Times, Diversion, medical journals in the United States and Canada, books in the "Chicken Soup for The Soul" series, USA Weekend and many others.

 

Joe has illustrated numerous books including self help, humor, E.S.L., psychology, health, golf, finance, joke, educational, texts, children's books and travel guides.

Greeting card companies Joe has created for include American Greetings, Marian Heath, Recycled Paper Greetings, Rockshots, Comstock, Oz,  American Art Enterprises, Novo Cards, Argus Paper Products, Carolyn Bean, TLC, Current,  Magic Moments, Nobleworks, Freedom Greetings, Designer Greetings, Paper Rainbow, Smart Alex and Gallant Greetings.  Joe has also written concepts for Hallmark and Current  as well as those listed above.

Joe has a wife, a daughter and a cat. The cat is adopted.
